My 92 year old neighbour had several falls over the weekend. again early in the week he fell. Surgery just did not want to know, rude staff that showed no compassion or care. When the ambulance came the crew they phoned the surgery to speak to my neighbours GP. He (Dr E) was extremely rude to the ambulance crew and said ' I have not got hours to spare trying to find a non urgent bed' and left it with the ambulance crew. Usually they put him back to bed but the crew were concerned about his general health so decided to take him in. Good job they did, he was in heart failure, dehydrated and confused. It looks like the surgery had not followed up his previous admission to hospital over Christmas and not prescribed drugs recommended by the hospital that may have helped him not need any of this drama. Too many mistakes and not enough care. I seem not to be alone seeing other reviews of this surgery since it was amalgamated into Mounts Bay care. Such poor service, this surgery needs intervention quickly before more lives are put at risk.

Awful place with awful reception staff and puffed up self important doctors, with one exception, Dr Quick. The Ellery's run this place like they're own personal fiefdom and milk it like a cash cow. The dispensers are, likewise unhelpful and punitive, if you have your meds delivered through a mail service they will refuse to dispense a prescription issued by the gp you've just seen 20 yards away and make you drive 5 miles to the nearest pharmacy just to punish you. The nurses I have encountered there are good, especially the diabetes nurse, she's lovely and very professional. The alpha male Ellery almost put my son off ever seeing a GP again and tried to bully and dominate my partner over her consultant prescribed medication just because he's a boorish controlling *¢¥^ virtually accusing her of abusing her medication without any cause or justification to do so, just because he could. This used to be a great surgery until the Ellery's took over, now I will leave and find a decent caring practice elsewhere. One where the patient is more important than the clinician, where they are listened to and valued. Where care is a collaborative process and not a power game for uncaring psychopathic personalities.

Sack the Ellery's.

What an awful surgery. Where do I start? Just getting an appointment, impossible even before Covid. Very rude reception staff, condescending, offish and unhelpful. Mistakes, they have made a lot of them, failed to call me in for an urgent blood test, lost letters and communications. Often items missing from the pharmacy, when asked when they will be in just told to take the prescription somewhere else. This surgery needs auditing by NHS England before someone dies.

Suggested improvements
Just about everything. This is the worst surgery i have been to in over 70 years.

To get an appointment by phone, it usually is a very long wait. Email is ok, but too many questions. Some phone messages to different staff ignored or forgotten for several weeks. Those of us that go to Praze surgery are expected to queue outside for drugs for what has been up to three quarters of an hour, within a two hour window. If one is too infirm, or is unable to stand for long periods then it seems to be deemed tough. Winter is coming. Praze is a large surgery with plenty of room for social distancing. Praze patients are expected to travel to Connor Downs should they get an appointment when we have perfectly good surgery here. What about those who don't drive? There are staff at this surgery second to none, but equally others who fall far short. This surgery was once renowned to be one of the best, and within the last 18 months. What has happened? Why are the patients in Praze not being given consideration and perhaps both surgeries used, even if on different days? It is very sad that those staff who are the best that can be, are lumped with reviews such as this. The doctor's should be back at work seeing patients, same as nurses and other healthcare workers. Nothing wrong with change, but not at the detriment of their patients. If they had a house fire no doubt the firecrews would be expected to turn up? The founders of Praze surgery would be appalled at the extremely quick drop in healthcare. Covid 19 notwithstanding.

Most of the above.
